Stephen Jenkinson has witnessed, in the presence of dying for more than 20 years, the dilemmas of our contemporary society in terms of death and dying. While we are trying to prevent death at any cost, we are robbing ourselves of the opportunity to give our life a sense when it comes to the end. The meaning of life is not something we are born with. We come to the world with the call to give life a sense of how we live it. The conclusion of life is the moment when this meaning can be revealed.
Stephen Jenkinson is coming to Vienna and Brno to share his experience, knowledge and wisdom with us. He does it with radical kindness. It asks from us to let go of misconceptions, illusions and vain hopes. Sometimes, it is not easy to go through this, but in the end one is grateful to Stephen from the depths of his soul. Because what remains is the pure wisdom of life and the meaning of life that is fully manifested in dying. |
Being Human
“The relentless pursuit of self reliance and self improvement is rooted in our lost connection to common stories, homeland and ancestors that bind and unite us. The times now demand that we recognize the world’s suffering in our own.”

Dying
"Dying is a human-scaled mystery and one thing that surely can be said about mysteries is that the more you learn about them, the more mysterious they become."
|
Grief
"Grief is not in the order of despair, depression, you know, “I give up.” Grief is the willingness to be claimed by a story bigger than the one you wish for. So in that sense grief is a willingness to know."
